Professional Web hosting
May 12th, 2014
Currently we dont have no website and emails are received at mailbox provided by some local but very reputable ISP. but for some time i am facing issues besides, internet presence is very necessary now a days.
Here are my needs:
A .com domain
Free would be great but i dont mind making my company pay for it
Basic website for our company (will get it designed locally-Pakistan)
It will be a simple About us, Prods, Contact kinda website. Maybe 20 pages at most) No videos, music (maybe some ultra-light animations)
Email accounts
This is the most essential thing. About 10 accounts initially shud do for 2 years at least i guess. For each i need at least of 1GB quota (some of us go for biz trips n vacations, i hate mails bouncing back due to limit exceeding). Email traffic is about 100 mails (incoming+outgoing) every day for at least 4 of us.
Sub-domain for web access of email accounts.
So one can access even if is traveling
Sub-domain for database
I am thinking to have an custom Address book (developed by someone) for access by employees only. It will be like name/company/designation/add/phone/fax/ext/mobile etc kinda database. I guess in total we got 500-1000 contacts Currently we dont have any such app in use within company.
Most Important Notes:
– Emails are back bone of our business. We are always communicating via emails. Troubles with mail server has pushed me to get myself into all this.
– I need 24/7 excellent support (we dont have any techies, i’ll be handling all)
– I hate when some one says we sent u an email and i never receive it neither it bounces back to recipient.
– I hate if mail server is down or facing issues (i couldn’t stress any further on how imp are mails for us!!)
– for me perhaps godaddy kinda hosts are for personal websites. or maybe when u’re looking for just hosting a simple website of a company which doesnt primarily depends on emails!
– Linux/Unix/Win/VPS/Shared/Dedicated I dont speak that kinda language
Please assist me

Hostgator are pretty good. Not sure if they meet your requirements 100%, but worth a look:

Check out 1and1.

I would recommend 1&1 too, I have had an account there for a long time.
E-mails are no problems to set up and reliable. You can use Outlook Web access / Exchange server.

either of these are very good, use both to host domains & do email.
