Problems with Windows 7 and Jdownloader

August 2nd, 2013

Just got a new PC and i am trying to install jdownloader on it but when its installing i got a popup box with a X in a red circle. even if the install gets to 100% once i hit ok or X it stops the installation.
I have an up to date Java installed.
Running 64bit windows 7
Does anyone know what is the matter?
If i cant get jdownloader to work anymore does anyone know a good alternative?
Thanks in advance

Alternatives for free users:
http://www.mipony.net/
and Free Rapid Downloader
IDM (internet download manager) + premium acc
Answer #2
The installer of JDownloader is a 32 bit version by default
try installing this version instead
http://94.23.204.158/JDownloaderSetupWin64.exe
see it that works
if it sill won’t install you’ll have to create a bat file to manually open and run jdupdate.jar
only other option is to uninstall java and try to install the 32 bit version of java
