Problem With my laptop’s speakers

HI! I have a laptop packard bell easynote tk-85 GN and 1 day i open that crappy laptop and the speakers dont work . I re-installed the system but it didnt helped . Any ideas ?

Install sound drivers?

Make sure they are not muted.
Open it up again and connect the wiring properly ?

They are not .When i put in my headphones i can hear the sounds …

The headphones output will have nothing to do with the speakers.

Alright i will check .But wait .Wiring ? how am i supposed to do that in laptop ?

Make sure you don’t have a button that mutes the speakers!In xp check the wave volume & get it back up if it’s down!Do a sound test whit the driver program(if it has this option).

There will be a wire that goes from the speakers unit to the mobo – make sure you haven’t pulled the connection off when you opened it up. I’m not too sure on PB’s if it’s a simple push on connector or if it’s soldered.
I thought you said you had already opened it up ?
*edit – if as you say, the speakers are not muted, and the correct drivers are installed, then it could simply be that the speakers have gone, it does happen, and they are cheap to replace from a laptop breakers.

Yeah they are probably gone .I have the bill yet so im gooing to replace them for free in the shop i bought it . Any way thanks guys

If you are going to get it repaired under warranty, I would mark anything of value inside the lappy with a UV marker, like the cpu and hdd – some places are notorious for swapping in old sh*te on it’s last legs.
I wouldn’t tell them you have opened it as it may invalidate the warranty.
