printer problem

November 23rd, 2020

Well, it can’t be a hardware problem cause the printer worked fine with xp a couple of days before, so I’m guessing it’s a software / driver issue.
And because a picture says more then a 1000 words:

At the left, you will see the picture as it is supposed to be, at the right you’ll see the picture after it’s printed. As you can see,
the collors are completely wrong, what could be the problem here?
* I’ve let vista install the printer by itself and i’ve installed the website drivers (not at the same time ofcourse) and it didn’t work
* The inkt has not run out, all 4 cartridges are atleast half full
* Worked perfectly with xp a few days ago
* OS: Windows Vista Home Premium
* printer: Epson Stylus DX3800

im really sorry for my previous post.
i think its a problem with driver for vista.
try reinstalling the driver [it might fix the problem]
Answer #4
i’ve downloaded & installed the driver multiple times, but no solution
Answer #5
A couple of things you might try. Printing a test page. Cleaning print heads (sometimes need to do this more than once). If it’s a driver problem maybe try removing the usb cable, uninstalling old drivers and reinstalling new ones before you attach the printer usb cable to the computer.
Answer #6
you tried printing from more than 1 app ?
test page look bad also ?
you tried re-calibration in the drivers ?
drivers set to “draft” copy
Answer #7
thanks for the suggestions, i’ll try them tomorrow (it’s my uncles printer)
