Possible to use 1&1 webhost to stream mp3s?

January 26th, 2020

I have 1500+ songs ranging from all genres that I stream to flash players, all in one domain but my old free host got shut down and now I’m looking for another one. Think I would be able to use 1&1 internet inc? (I just stream them, no download.)
Thanks!

In most parts of the world, streaming copyrighted music online requires a license. If you do not pay the required royalty rates, you can be severely fined and/or even be sentenced to prison terms. This policy is strictly enforced in the US, which is also where 1&1 Internet Inc.’s headquarters are located.
If you reside in the US, I strongly suggest you obtain a license to broadcast music legally on the net, through providers such as:
Loudcity: http://www.loudcity.net/
Live365: http://www.live365.com/
Royalty rates and licensing options may differ in other countries. If you reside outside the US, visit either the Loudcity or Live365 forums and inquire, or talk to a lawyer.
Good luck.
