Playing Subtitles

August 6th, 2016

I am unable to play subtitles in MPC-HC unless they are hardcoded. When I enable any of the renderers in the options-playback-output the video lags extremely bad. Need to know if there is a solution or is my computer is just too slow.
Answer #1
What is MPC-HC? Just use a media player like VLC and play your movie as normal and the subs will play fine.
Answer #2
tried VLC same problem.
Answer #3
Try GOM Player, if that doesnt work then im guessing your computer is too slow. Try fixin it up by cleaning up junk files n cleanin the registry using something like TuneUp Utilities.
Answer #4
What hardware are we dealing with?
If your using something like MPC or Potplayer, renaming the subtitle’s name in explorer to match the name of the file and keeping the .sub or whatever extension for the subtitles, by doing this the subtitle will automatically be loaded by either of the players and played.
In normal operating, renders shouldn’t be changed as they use different algorithms, will effect playback.
Answer #5
just reinstalled VLC and installed Haali Media Splitter and that did the trick. Thanks for the advice.
