PC won’t start normally

November 15th, 2013

I don’t know what happened. Just last night I was able to use my PC without any problems. But now, when I turn it out, after the “Starting Windows” (Windows 7) screen, screen turns the black then nothing happens. I didn’t install anything new that night. I was just downloading a torrent of One Tree Hill and nothing more. I can log-in to my computer in safe mode but the normal boot doesn’t work. It always hang after the Starting Windows screen.
Answer #1
in the “safe mode” menu there’s a “low res video mode”, will it start in that mode ?
if so uninstall & reinstall you video driver
if not try doing a startup repair with the windows 7 disc
you may have to recrack windows after this
Answer #2
Check also the startup processes; Open msconfig nd uncheck everything that s not needed.
Answer #3
@edwoodweb: I re-installed my Graphics Driver and nothing happened. It still hangs on that part.
@balkanno: It doesn’t even reach the “log-in” page. So I think startup of processes doesn’t happen yet.
Answer #4
You’d be surprised slashfan, something is causing the difference between being able to login in Safe Mode and not in normal. I would definitely try disabling them anyway.
For example some Antivirus programs will load/start to protect during the startup phase
You could also try running a Startup Repair from the repair your computer area during startup, or even a System Restore. At least you can get in to Safe Mode, some folks aren’t as lucky.
Answer #5
I mean from Safe mode, if that does work you know there s no hardware issue.
The best way to solve this is to try repair it from the Win DVD, ave you tried that?
However, it s time to an Backup.
Answer #6
No need to repair
Just Login In Safe Mode
Go to settings->Restore to your Working Restore Date-> After Restore Is complete->Starts Windows Normally It wil work like a charm
Answer #7
yes just restore to a previous state and after restoring uncheck any unknown or not needed programs from msconfig
Answer #8
Restore/Repair your current Windows Installation. If nothing works do a reformat.
