PC wasn’t even loading to BIOS. Is it fixed now?

February 9th, 2020

Hi guys. I was having a problem with my PC. I got a new HD and after putting it in and all the PC wouldn’t load anything. The monitor would do nothing. My PC sounded like it was running at full power and the red light was constantly on. A friend said it was the motherboard.
ALl i did in the end was unplug the cable that goes from the monitor to the back of the PC (DVI I think its called), blow the dust out and it suddenly worked again. This was after dozens and dozens of attempts to get it to at least load to the BIOS screen.
Its been working since. Would something like that usually stop a PC from loading at all like that?
cheers.

Yes something like that would.

I didn’t think something like that would cause that sort of problem. So, it should be all right to go now?

Ok, another question. I bought a new Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 HD. I’ve also got a Western Digitial one that I’ve had and used as my main HD for the last year and a half. Which one would be better? I’m thinking the Seagate purely because its newer, but then again, I know very little about HDs lol.
Answer #4
depend on size for me largest for program, data and file storage little 1 for system if both the same size dosent matter much at all
Answer #5
i dont any of the HDDs would be much better then each other. i would only change if i needed the space on the OS HDD. i would reccommend not changing as it will be a pain to reinstalling your OS plus all the drivers
