Old T.V.

August 2nd, 2016

Well I have an old 32 inch olevia LCD t.v., it isn’t really that old, but the motherboard overheats and makes the t.v. useless, so since I have a new one, is there anything I can do with the parts of the old one.
On a side note, anyone know how the iphone 3gs jailbreak is coming along, I just updated my iphone 2g to 3.0 and jailbroke it with the new redsnow and I’m patiently waiting to see how long the 3gs will be.

Answer #1
You could try selling it for parts or as-is on craigslist.

you don’t really have too many options here.
ebay it – sell as “slightly used”
use it
keep it as a backup
Answer #5
Well the first one is a tad devious haha
It literally burns up and starts to freeze 10 minutes into using it, so it can’t be used as either of the other two.
Answer #6
Smash it / Burn it / Blow it up
Answer #7
Put on some music and have your friends call over and dance on it .
Answer #8
Hm Never thought of destroying it, keep those ideas as backups guys thanks, I’m looking for more productive use.
Answer #9
Well maybe it’s like a PC and needs some maintenance..
Fan stuffed ? Heatsink clogged > Need new heatsink paste ?
Answer #10
Recycle, or sell it on eBay as spare parts for anything. If the right person buys it, they can probably solve the problem and use it as a PC monitor.
Answer #11
have you tried to find out why it overheats google might help
Answer #12
I haven’t personally taken it apart because I’m quite lazy, It was my parents originally and they had someone look at it who said the main board would need to be replaced for it to work properly, I suppose I could attempt what and hamish are saying.
