notebook crashes more times!

Hello everyone!
I have a notebook dell inspiron 1720 and i installed the last graphic card driver from NVidia GeForce 8600M GT , and the notebook does not stopn to crash more times in one day.
can someone help.

NVidia GeForce 8600M GT
and I think it’s the GS, not the GT you have
was it crashing before the “update” ?
you completely uninstall the old driver before installing the new one ?

“Crash” doesn’t cut it, Your gonna have to be more specific.
Clearly, It either restarts or shutdowns, Which one is it? And just to be clear, Shutdown = Completely powers off. Also, What do you usually do before it happens? And what OS?

do you hear any POST beeps ? if so , please describe them …
