‘No video capture device was detected on your system’
January 20th, 2020
For a while now (months, a year?) my webcam hasn’t been working. I don’t remember how or why it gave out, but by this point I’d really like to get it back in working order.
I receive the error message “No video capture device was detected on your system” on every system start up. The webcam software starts up as well, and is simply called “Video Web Camera”, version: UVC 2.0.5.6. My computer is a Gateway LT25 running Windows 7 Starter edition.
I’ve looked for new drivers thinking that might solve the problem, but haven’t managed to find any matching ones. If you know of anything that might help, please let me know!
Thank you!
Not sure..But it’s worth a shot checking if the webcam is enabled in the bios..
Also check out your Laptop user guide to see if there is a key combination on your Laptop keyboard to enable the webcam..
Maybe some help here..
