PXE boot, simply means that the notebook is attempting to boot from a network location, this usually happens when u have a corporate laptop….
search google for pxe boot and you will find some results
I’m not sure about Toshiba, but most computers have an option in the BIOS to disable network booting. If you can’t disable it, try setting the boot order to boot from your HDD first. If you still get the PXE errors, either your HDD (Most likely), or the connection of the HDD to the motherboard is defective.

… sounds as if there might be something in that hard drive cable connection as I have tried another drive that I no works and still doesn’t find it.
In that case, can you make sure that the HDD does spin?
