hi,
could anyone help me with this problem. be much appreciated
My laptop came with windows 8 but ive been having recent problems with freezing / blue screen etc…
decided to install win7 ultimate
all seems fine except for drivers not installed properly
cant seem to install driver for my wireless card, which is:
qualcomm atheros AR9485WB-EG Wireless network adapter
I found the files here: https://www.atheros.cz/atheros-wireless-download.php?chipset=61&system=7
but once downloaded i just get these files:

i read up on these and it say to locate the device in device manager and update drivers. But my device doesnt show there

most of the time Win 7 64 bit drivers work fine with Win 8, …so install this driver before you try major changes

DriverPack solution, didnt fancy downloading 10GB for just this
I found a similar program – Driver Booster 2.4 PRO
was only an 11MB download and detected all out to date drivers and fixed them

Yes I’ve used that Driver Booster and it’s quite good..
I found that if you disconnect from the net before you fire it up and then reconnect straight afterwards, it will stay as Pro.
Otherwise it goes back to Free version and you need to put the serial number in again..
