Need help from you guys…

Hi guys,
I’ve just downloaded After Effects CS4. During the installation we had a short circuit in our home. The pc shutted down during the installation.

Now my After effects cs4 installation is corrupt. I can’t De�nstall it or Re�nstall it.
So I have to remove it manually.
The problem is I don’t know how.
I already searched the whole internet.
Do you guys know how ?

Well, first try this. Go to control panel and double click on “Programs and features”, once there if “After Effects CS4” is displayed in the list then u can uninstall it. Also u can simply double click on setup again and try (most of the time the installation automatically detects the files and uninstalls it before reinstalling the software).
Anyways, this is only a simple and basic suggestion!

Yeah I tried it. But because the installation is corrupt I can’t use the normal deinstaller

Try removing all files related to that program manually, most of them are probably somewhere in c:\program files, use the search function to make sure all files are gone then get a program to clean all junk files and corrupt registry values such as CCleaner then reboot your pc and try re-installing.

delete the files created in program files.
there shouldn’t be any files in the registry because that is usually added at the end of the installation

download your uninstaller from forum that should do it

try using a file shredder to get rid of any files that may have been placed in the program files for this program, otherwise you may still have a problem….then i would also search stuff about how to delete it off your add remove programs list if it is still on there….
