then i downloaded the bios file and emulator and saw this guide to help me config the emulator:
http://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-Official-English-PCSX2-configuration-guide-v0-9-7
but i cant assign the keys, i followed every steps carefully, yet i still cant figure out how to assign keys. so someone please help me.
here are the error pics that i am facing:
Are you using your keyboard to play? If you are using a keyboard that works with Windows, all you should have to do is click the buttons on the key assignment window and then click the key you want to assign (eg. Click ‘Square’ and then press ‘J’ [or whatever key you want to assign] on your keyboard). If you are having an issue with using a gamepad (PS2 gamepad or something attached via USB/serial), you may need to check that you have the correct drivers and test the gamepad once it is recognised by finding it under ‘Control Panel->Devices and Printers’.
The memory card error is just a first time boot thing and once you have keys assigned and can press ‘X’, you should be able to format the card and begin playing.
yes i am using keyboard to play. after clicking the buttons on the key assignment window and then clicking the key i want to assign, its not happening. whatever i select under pc control it says x axis+ or x axis- or y axis+ or y axis-
i dont have gamepad or xbox360 controller. i play with kb & mouse on win 7 x86 ultimate.
Okay, I just found my copy of PCSX2 and booted it up. I have a much older release of LilyPad than you (r2930 vs your r3837) so I am not sure what has changed since then. In the ‘General’ tab of the LilyPad settings you should be able to select different APIs for your keyboard. Try all 3 APIs and see if any of the other APIS fix the issue.
My LilyPad is currently set to use Windows Messaging but appears to work with Raw Input and DirectInput too.
finally got them working. thanks for the help. but the graphics is too low. despite following the guide, i guess i made a mistake, so gfx got compromised.
It’s probably not a configuration error, the graphics performance of PCSX2 can be pretty average. The emulator runs 2 engines, one uses your CPU and one uses your GPU (I believe) which puts a fair amount of strain on your system. I have a decent machine and I only just fer away with passable FPS in emulated games.
