Need Big Help

Alright so I work at this club and they got me doing these videos and stuff…
I’m using Adobe After Effects CS4 to generate the name and do some effects and other things…
I’m having problems though..to start off here are my specs
-2 3.0 GHZ Xeon Procesors
-4 Gig Ram(XP read 3)
-PCI-N-Vidia 128 Mbyte Video Card
-2 Hard Drives-XP Installed on 32 Gig and Storage Drive where AE is installed

Ok so,when I’m working with AE (After Effects) The computer Lags some and I’m using the multi-processing,
and the other most significant issue I have is that Rendering is a ~ censored ~ and hasn’t been working right,I’ll put it as .MOV and it’ll come out low quality altho i’ve set it as high quality and when I go to .AVI either my text messes up or it renders just a white movie…
I want to measure all my possibilities before having to upgrade my computer.
Please Please Help?
P.S.-I know Xeon cores are meant for servers but I was told that it does really damn well with music production…lies?
P.P.S.-and I know my post count is low but I recently rediscovered this site and it’s AMAZING

when I go to .AVI
what codec you using for AVI ?

could you be a bit more specific on what graphic card you have? a 128mb model doesn’t seem very recent to me.
personally I suggest you get cpu-z & gpu-z, take screenies of all tabs & we’ll know everything we need to.
also, xeon are good for everything, the reason they’re for server is mainly because they cost a lot.
