MP3 CD…How to..?

May 20th, 2023

So I heard from someone that they used to have mp3 CDs that had 600+ songs in it.
Is it possible? If so, how do I do that..?
I’ve only been able to fit 137 mp3 using Nero Express…
Please help….It’s killing me not being able to figure this out…

Found it try this out:

http://www.acoustica.com/dj-twist-burn/

that is the software, you should be able to find it here.
you can create dj mixes or i am sure burn them straight up and it does support mp3 cds!

You can fit 600+ songs on an MP3 CD. The catch is, the bit-rate of the MP3’s has to be very low, which results in poor sound quality. You can convert, your current MP3’s to lower quality, or re-rip it at a lower bit-rate. That is, if you want low sound quality.

a cd can only hold 700MB of data, and each song is around 4 or 5 MB, so youre looking at around 137 songs on the cd.
they probly had a dvd with mp3s on it, dvds hold a lot more

yeah but if you want them to work on a CD player, you have 80 minutes only. So fits about 21-22 songs
Answer #5
You need an MP3 capable cdplayer/headunit.
like my headunit reads MP3’s, so it doesn’t have to go by 80minutes, more like 125 songs.
Answer #6
You can, it all depends on the size of the songs. To decrease the size, you need to decrease the bitrate, and hence, the quality

For that, you’re trying to burn an audio CD, not an mp3 one.
Il explain you the dirreference.
A CD is labelled – 80minutes/700 MB
80 minutes count if you are using an audio CD – you can add songs upto 80minutes. Normally, its a max of 20 songs
700 MB – is used while creating an mp3 cd. you can copy as many songs to fill that 700mb . Audio Cd is by song time, and mp3 by the size

Ahaa thanks for the explanation. But will an MP3 CD still work on CD players? And if yes, what is a good MP3 burner? I can’t seem to find Burn MP3 option on Nero
Answer #8
Yes, It will work. For a burner, Nero will do. There’s a seperate option for MP3 Cd. Most probably data cd also works(not sure)
Answer #9
a normal cd player CANNOT play an mp3 cd.
an audio cd and an mp3 cd use very different formats of audio (one compressed, the other not really compressed)
an mp3 cd will work only in an mp3 cd player (or pc, lol)
Answer #10
Yes it is just a matter of burning data to disk….even windows can do it if you copy the files on your cd drive and then let it burn them for you..
If you have Nero ,then you can use the smartstart or Nero Express to “make a jukebox CD”….or simple burn data to disk..
They will only play on CD players that are MP3 capable… DVD players will play them too…
A good player, ripper, converter for your PC is ‘ Jet Audio ‘..

Awesome. Thanks for explaining.
Answer #12
Yup…thank you everyone for explaining and confirming the same things I thought. I had mentioned to that person who told me that in order to put so many songs, the quality of the sound would be very low and that it also depends on the size of the file. But that person kept saying that someone did it for her before. THat’s when I decided to ask the good ppl here!!
I’m going to stick with the 137 max that I can fit into an mp3 CD. My thing is…”Quality over Quantity”
Again…thanks so much for taking your time and reading/replying to this!
