Otherwise if it’s for playing on a PS3 or XBOX vob will do. Just use the mkv2vob-program. As jussy16 says any videoconverter will help you converting it into .avi. But it might take a reall long time. The two methods I described is the best if you just wan’t to play it on PS3/XBOX. Happy New Year!

AVI is not a H.264 container, Its for the previous generation of codecs. Use MKV2Vob or YAMB/MKVExtract on them to get ISO Standard MP4/Mpg files which is the ISO Standard container for the current gen of codecs (AAC/AAC). Otherwise you’ll have to trans-code (River Past Video Cleaner Pro) which takes an age.
