.mdi files viewer-editer-printer-convertor required

i wish to know about any programme or utlity by which i can view/edit/print and convert .mdi files directly to Execel formt (XLS).

You will have to do some research.
MDI is a graphics format (similar to TIFF) so any conversion would have to be passed through an OCR
engine to get text and then be formatted for Excel.
I can get you started with ABBYY — it claims to be able to convert graphics to Excel — but you will have to see
if it can input MDI — also there are other OCR suites out there.
