There is a free program called UnRarX that will work just fine.

Or you could use something like iArchiver.

unrarx is a great program ill second it
Answer #4
I have also been using unrarx until i tried iArchiver. I think it has a sleeker UI, easier to deal with password protected archives. it also supports other formats as well.
Answer #5
Try BetterZip. I’m using it for couple of months and without single problem. It’s up to you which one you chose. Try few and then decide.
Answer #6
you can try BetterZip or The Unarchiver
Answer #7
UnRarX gives me no problems.
Answer #8
UnRarX is best, This is in wrong forum though!
Answer #9
RAR Expander, free and no problems

Answer #10
RarMachine
Stuffit Expander
iArchiver
SimplyRar
UnRarX
Rar Expander
and many others…
The only “Official” rar tool (made by rarlabs; the company that makes “Winrar” and designed the rar code) is command line only for Mac and Linux.
There are numerous choices. Most apps will only “UnRar”, they will not create or “Rar” files.
RarMachine will do both.
Try them all until you figure out which one you like best.
You can download any of those apps here on . I personally think RarMachine has a very “Mac Like” user interface.
And as another posted mentioned… This is in the wrong section. This belongs in the help section.
