jeeze, bluetooth reciever how do..?

January 23rd, 2020

I’m trying to make my Ps4 controller operate VIA bluetooth, but all of my attempts are failing. I can plug it in and use the DS4WINDOWS program and the lights are operational, controls work in game, can configure to control pc as a mouse, but I can NOT make it work through bluetooth!
I’m not a very ‘wire’ kind of guy. Especially when what im using has the capability to do so and i’m just so stupid I can’t get it to work. I’ve tried installing bluetooth stacks, stackswitcher, blahblahblah, but I’m apparently an undiagnosed downsyndrome chicken praiser.
I’m using a rather handy dandy 2009 dell ins. desktop, but I have no clue what I should be doing.
I have a Microsoft Notebook Reciever 2.0 Model:1051, and I figured maybe I could sync my DS4 to this reciever, but again my horrible case of unitellectualibility seems to be limiting my techniqual troubleshooting capabilities. Please offer advice, either with something that would make it work, or say simple “It will absolutely not work.”
I am unaware what to use to post my system specs. If this is a issue, please inform me what I do to share them. Also, If I am doomed to the eternal darkness and unending nightmares of the unfortunate reality that is a wired controller, If it is possible, I have Multiple laptops with built in Bluetooth in my dead computer graveyard That i could n3ro rig to my desktop, if it were in any way possible.
Please help me, masters.

Thank you for your response. I already had all of the variables within this guide applied, except the ‘detect new hardware’ feature. I am trying this, but am having no avail. I may not have Bluetooth 2.1 on my Desktop, as it is a dated machine. I don’t know how to be absolute. Are you aware of how to discover this, or if not, if it may be possible to n3ro rig it with laptops reciever?
Honestly, if you knew of a way to allow me to sync it to my Microsoft notebook reciever, this would be preferable. Persay, some how whipe the firmware from this Reciever and apply modified firmware that allows Bluetooth syncing of said DS4 controller?
