Issues with putting cydia on non-jailbroken iphone.

April 3rd, 2020

I am trying to install cydia on a non-jailbreak iphone and i am having a lot of trouble. First i tried the vssh method but when i try to connect i am getting error “failed to connect: operation not permitted”. Next i found a cydia .ipa file and tried to put it on my phone using xcode but i get a error msg “cant install app: cydia.ipa does not contain a valid info.plist”. I cant move it over with itunes either. Xsellie forum is now closed so thats it for iphone support. Can anyone help?
Answer #1
Installing cydia is impossible without a jailbreak. Cydia needs the access to iOS that a jailbreak delivers to install correctly. Any website that says otherwise is lying.
Answer #2
Cydia = jailbreak = cydia
In a nutshell what you are trying is just a waste of time
Answer #3
There is a semi jailbreak method for some versions. It will work for the non-root access utiltities. You can’t get a fully functional Cydia without a jailbreak.
