is my pc good enough for gta v?
August 2nd, 2016
Intel Core 2 Quad Q8300 2.5GHz 6 gigs of ddr2 ram Nvidia geforce 550 ti Is GTA V good enough for my pc? Is a 560 ti better or does it justify the cost of getting it? Will put GTA IV on my 120GB Samsung Evo SSD.

I got my 550 ti from microcenter refurbished 2 yrs ago.
There are no official GTA V requirement out so we wont know. But as I remember correctly. When I used to play GTA 4 when it first came out. I was lagging so much because I used an 1gb gpu. When I upgraded to an 2gb. No lagged whatsoever.
I personally would suggest you get at least an 2gb if you plan to do an upgrade. I would hold it if your not willing to spend the cash. When the game come out you can check if it run good or not and then decide to upgrade.
It should be able to run
A 560 ti would of course be better, but it is probably not worth it.
q8300 is one of the first quad cores right? like the q6600. if thats the case youre severely pushing your system and should probably get a whole new motherboard/cpu/ ram setup. ddr2 is quite inefficient and outdated im afraid. the ssd will only address loading times
I am not talking about buying a whole new pc in parts if my current pre-build pc is compatible of running it on mid-high. I know SSD only makes loading faster and has nothing to do with the way the game will perform. I am asking if its able to run at least on mid-high with my current spec or if I should get that 560 ti and upgrade my computer to a new computer later because I know gta v is coming this fall which is august.
GTA V not yet released for pc. Can’t tell till the official requirement is announced.
