Is it possible?

August 4th, 2016

I have 2 laptops for the moment
1 working
1 not working, and it doesn’t have a hdd
my question:
is it possible to use my broken laptop for a second screen with my working laptop?
if you need more information about anything, just ask!
your help is greatly appreciated!

Answer #1
I don’t think it is. I tryed to do it but it wouldn’t work for me.
Answer #2
What does not working in this case mean ?
there is little chance of doing that with a working machine and with a not powered up no chance
Answer #3
Yea u dont have a hope in hell unless you can get an operating system on the broken machine. Even then i doubt it’ll have inputs of any kind (unless its a multi media laptop) so u’ll have to buy a VGA to USB convertor box i think.
Answer #4
Impossible, laptops are not designed for inputs.
Answer #5
agree, it doesn’t has an input for video so you can’t. even fancy things like converters, programs, ect (if the even exist) wouldn’t work decently because of the lag on it.
Answer #6
you could take the screen out and figure the pin out for the connector cab;e that connects the broken laptop to the broken laptops screen. Once you’ve done that, you can get a connector off teh internet and make a vga to broken laptop screen conector and use as external monitor. You’ll also need to power it though. Its a bit of a mess about but it is possible
