internet question

so im going to move up from regular Verizon internet 768KB-1mbps download and 0.37 upload speed to Verizon FIOS internet 15mbps download 5mbps upload speed. how much faster do u think FIOS is i no its way faster but wats the download speed???? the download speed is 124kb/s for my internet rite now my mom is going to order at 12 and i dont no when its going to get here so just answer o.o so how fast is the download thingy going to be??? the internet im using verizon=19.99 the internet im going to upgrade to VERIZON FIOS=54.99 i was going to upgrade to comcast-cable but i notice some difference like the upload speed was slower the upload speed for comcast is 3mbps. verizon fios=5mbps and verizon never limits usuage i already talk to them and comcast has a 250gb limit usuage per month and comcast is 59.95 my mom was going to get comcast but i said no lets get FIOS : D anyways how much will the download speed go up by?? its 124kb/s rite now
Just take say 15000 and divide it by 8. That will give you a small clue your DL speed will be.

Remember your DL speed depends on many factors as well. Mostly how fast the server in question can feed you the data.

Remember your currently max speed is 124kb/s as you all ready posted it was. While download from sources like RS and MU you could easy max out that currently connection. But once you get your FIOS installed you won’t all ways see the max speed.

But once you get your FIOS installed you won't all ways see the max speed.: O really??? that sucks but atleast i no it will be better then my current internet cant wait for 11am when my mom order fast connection YIPPIE X D its 2:37am as im writing this o.o im not a nerd or anything just really happy that after so many years with this DSL 1mbps upgrade jump to 15mbps : P really happy but have to wait some days they said 5-7 business days to arrive : (
I’m on 15mbps Roadrunner broadband here. I really enjoy my broadband cause I can watch a TV show from hulu and still download something from megaupload. Make sure you got enough HDD space or blank DVD’s. For all those files you will be downloading off the net.
Ah I remember my jump from dialup to 3mbit. It was a good feeling. I AM a nerd though. Then I made a jump from 10 mbps to 50. Was cool, but not the same feeling. Enjoy it.

Enjoy it. ah yes i rmemeber having dial up to X D AMERICAN OLINE o.o X D then i jump to comcast i think it was 20mbps then i jump to verizon 3mbps then i jumped to earthlink 1.5mbps then i jumped to Verizon 1mbps which sucked now FIOS : ) YAY
