Internet Fail.

Hi, I’m having some trouble with uploading documents, photos etc. If I try to upload a picture to facebook or add a document as an attachment in gmail, my internet is gone. Every single time.
Some extra information: when I upload something with Filezilla for example, my internet does not shut down. Never had any problems with downloading either. My desktop is connected to the web through a UTP cable that is connected to a router, which is provided to me by my internet provider.
If somebody could help me solve this problem, I would be very grateful.
