are you extracting to the same place ?
are you extracting to the same physical drive or a 2nd physical drive
are the files more compressed (a larger diff between “size” & “packed”)
if the “size” & “packed” are the same there’s no compression

straight to my laptop there not compressed they are video files and i have no problem with rar files its just single video files
rebuild a 3gig video
so rebuild duz not mean extract
not sure what rebuild means then

dont know why it does it myself cos its a single video file, but it does it on every video file for some reason think i will just stick to downloading rar files.thanks for your time tho.
There is no way that IDM can rebuild a file of that size in a few seconds on any computer unless you have some serious drive arrays or some superfast SSDs. It would take roughly the same time you’d need to copy a file of the same size to a location. It’s an absolutely normal process. I think you’re mistaking this for something else.
