I updated a cracked version by mistake. My IP is reported. :

What are the consequences? It was advanced system optimizer. Dammit .
Is it possible to still install it again?

After the update, the software restarted and then it opened a page in firefox saying “warning this is a pirated version your ip has been reported and you location is x”.
What do I do?

This is just a scare tactic used by many companies to deter you from using the cracked product. I`ve had this a few times over the years and nothing comes of it, so don`t worry.

But I can never use that software can I? Because it has recorded my IP, and only way to use it is to change my ip, but I can’t since my ISP is strict wrt to ip address changing?

LoL the application you are using should not need your IP to function.
At least not to my knowledge.
Completely remove the application, reinstall, recrack, do not update & make sure you do not let the application try to auto-update itself.
If you absolutely need an IP change… just disconnect your modem overnight and plug it back in the next morning.

ipconfig /renew

It is not working for me anymore. It says renew registration key. And it is not accepting any I am putting in. I have not done system restore yet. But will that really change anything? Because my ip has been reported.

Just Ignore, Remember never put up internet connection when you patch,Install or crack it at the first. 🙂
Best way to stay safe.Don’t worry it’s just another Marketing Stretegy. IF this was really true don’t you think Microsoft Would be hitting every door step out there!
