HP 6910p (dis)assembly

Hi, anyone got experience with the HP 6910p?
I ve disassembled the notebook but I m lost where to put this rubber piece. Its a circle shape of about 1 cm… I’ ll take a pic, if you think you can help me out. Thx

If you do, They are just screw covers that go into the two screw holes in the back (underneath the screen)

Hey, thanks but i allready have checked the service manual and youtube videos but can’t find it back.

You didn’t take it off a screw or anything did you? Often when i see things like that, they are just little washers for going on a screw.

It fell out when I had the bottom of the notebook upside down.
I was removing the motherboard and suddenly something dropped on the ground. I’m having a hard time trying to figure out where it belongs. At first I thought maybe the rubber secured one of the speakers, but the speakers of the 6910p are both built in a rectangular shape inside a rectangular box.
The reason why I disassembled the notebook was because of a problem I’m having with a cable that’s going to and from the screen. I’ll maybe get another 6910p to check the cable out, so I could double check this rubber.
I wish I could just x ray this notebook because it’s a tough job disassembling this one.

don’t see anything right off that looks like your ring

so it may be that it was not part of the lappy, it may have been something that fell into it and fell out when you were working on it

Hey, yeah. I fixed the cable. I haven’t found any place for the rubber ring so I took the easy way out and discarded it from the laptop. Thanks for the help, guys.
