How’s asking for help with work taken on here?

August 1st, 2016

I mean asking to be pointed in the right direction of an answer, not given the answer. I’m stuck, my deadline is looming for some work and most of the tutors at college are useless. If it’s frowned upon then I won’t bother, and I’ll apologise in advance >.> Sorry!
Answer #1
I don’t mind helping you with anything but im not gonna answer your questions for you =p
Answer #2
Most people will say doit yourself and won’t help you.
Answer #3
I’m always here to help.. But when it comes to doing ones homework, cause that looks like that’s what you’re asking/stating.
That’s just plain laziness.
Answer #4

Exactly.
Help as in assistance, tutoring, nudge in the right direction is totally fine.
The manner in which the question is asked seems to make a difference in peoples’ willingness to help out.
No one wants to help someone cheet and do their work for them, especially when its college level IT degree type work. Why the @#$% are you in school if you are too lazy to do your own work. But…. everyone needs a little extra help sometimes when trying to get their head wrapped around a difficult subject. It never hurts to ask for help when you need it.
