August 7th, 2016

How long do you think a logitech g27 last and do you think its still good for buying now even though it’s priced over $200 and has been released since 2010.
Answer #1
Should last a good few years, my cousin has one, loves it, nothing bad to say.
Answer #2
So is it still worth it to this date to buy one? I heard logitech is not making anymore gaming peripherals(no logitech g29 ).
Answer #3
They were built to last mate, so still worth it imo, everytime I go round to my cousins, he’s sitting in it

Silly ? really but here goes How long is a bit of string ? Exactly…
Like anything m8 depends on USAGE! and if you care for what you own just like i do / I own a Logitech MX518 Optical Gaming Mouse and have done so for the last say 3/4 years / also depends if you gotta a decent build or one that was poorly built
In other words Logitech are generally pretty good builds and built to last unlike some other companys.

That what I meant. The build quality is it good enough to last like lets say 50+ yrs or so until I die, at least until I get bored right?

it must also depends in how you threat it i guess, if in every race you lose you punch it, or throw it in the wall it wont last long.. threat it like a beautiful girl and it will last long i guess i got a kinda cheap mouse that i use, and i got it for 6-7 years and still working, same with my keyboard.. well its not the same maybe i guess, but im just saying that if a cheap shi* last that long, why an expensive racing wheel thingi cant last much longer?

Bargain with the shop. I managed to convince JB-HIFI to give me a 3 year warranty for free.

I won’t buy another Logitech wheel again. Overall, the G27 is nice in almost every way but. the dual force feed back motors create a major dead spot in the center of rotation. There is more than +- 5 degrees of slop and Logitech insists this is normal and necessary to prevent the dual motors from oscillating and fighting against each other. This is an ABSOLUTE TOTAL deal breaker. I have a 40 year old Toyota with worn out tie rod ends and ball joints that has less slop in the steering that the G27. I can’t comment on how long it would last because I stopped using it shortly after I bought it. It might be OK for NFS arcade racing games, but for serious sim racing, it was horrible.

I have been through all kinds of wheels over the years. No more cheep plastic toy steering wheels. If you want a truly responsive wheel and pedals with unmatched build quality, there is only one choice.
