how can i record a tv show to my pc

i want to record a tv show from tv.i dont have a tv card.so how can i record it to my pc from tv?

you need a capture card

then you got use your video cam plug in your tv to record or just use your video cam to record in front of your tv [your video cam must be hd/dvd video cam]
