Help me to search with Author name

Help me to search with post Author name(code). without go to search page.
its help me to use it on my signatures. plz any one help me…..

example:
search.php?keywords=&terms=any&author=&sc=1&sf=all&sr=topics&sk=t&sd=d&st=0&ch=300&t=0&submit=Search
in new phpbb3 forum its works. but here not working.

we are using a heavily modified phpBB2
use this syntax..
http://www..org/search.php?search_author=<<author_name>>&search_fields=firstpost
example:
http://www..org/search.php?search_author=&search_fields=firstpost
