Help me build my newly bought computer

February 15th, 2020

Hello guys, I just bought a new computer, but I need a little help connecting the parts correctly.
I installed the CPU, FAN, connected all the case cables and fans, installed the HDD, the RAM, the PSU… I only miss the GPU, but I will buy it tomorow, that’s not too hard I guess..
Please check it and make sure it’s all okay, here are some pictures:

The PCI-E is the grey slot below the CPU heatsink
You will need to unscrew the slitted black panel to the left of the PCI-E (the one with the thumbscrew) before inserting your GPU
Depending on your GPU, you may also need 6-pin pci-e power cable from your PSU to the GPU You are also missing your RAM
Answer #3
The connector marked with the long red arrow need to be connected..It powers the CPU..
If you don’t have any 8 pin connector in your PSU..Look for a 4 pin connector..That should do the job too..And it will fit in the 8 pin connector..

I left the RAM for the end, cause I wanted more space.. I got it working nicely now.
The only problem is that my Cooler master is not being detected and not spining when I turn it on… while the cooler that came with my CPU is working okay, in the same spot.. this is wierd, the Cooler master fan is new, I bought it today
Answer #5
Have you taken the fan off the fan, reinstall the intel heatsink, reboot and check if the coolermaster fan actually works?
Cause if not, you have to return it or replace it with another 120mm fan

Did that many times, just seems to not be working… :/
It should be working even if I just connect it and hold it in my hands :/ it’s wierd..

I’d just return it to get another one
But if you really wanted to be sure, you could boot your computer using the intel heatsink, detach the coolermaster fan from the coolermaster heatsink, attach the fan to the 4-pin fan connector on the motherboard, and see if it is running and if your motherboard detects it
If you want to use the CM heatsink though, you just always just pull one of the fans out of your case and attach it to the heatsink

Considering one fan is working, and the other not in the same spot means you have identified where to plug in.. And the one not working more or less is more likely faulty.. Take it back to return it, at worse they will test it and double check if it isnt working or not, or just give you a new one.. (Sexy looking comp, hope you enjoy it!)
Ohh yeah, in case you dont know, the CPU generally runs about 10-20 degrees hotter until the thermo paste sets properly after about 60-80 hours of run time, and then drops to a more preferable heat range (The factors include the different types of pastes, and the CPU and cooling in general)… Dont use the comp till you get the fan sorted or you could possibly do damage to the CPU..
Answer #9
your missing the connection to the 4+4 cpu power connection on the psu, at least you are in the psu picture. that needs to go to a 4 or 8 pin connector on the mobo.
