HD DVD software

So my friend has a xBox HD dvd, USB drive and want to be able to watch HD DVD’s that he has on his living room PC that is connected to his TV.. Well I plugged it in and windows 7 found the drivers and every things seems to work, but I having a hard time finding somthing to play it back on.. VLC has no HD support, I tried Power DVD 10 and it also didn’t work. any suggestions on software that supports HD DVD playback.

There is a program called Splash. I think it still supports HD content. You can find it at videohelp, in the tools section.

Let me know if that doesn’t work. I know a few more that support HD.

Nope, I got latest splash with patch from here. When I open the disc it see 4 folders and when i open them i see nothing, when I select all formats I see a whole bunch of stuff in the folders but can not open any. Same with the newest Power DVD software I tried.

Try the latest version of PowerDVD.
I just did a quick Google search and other people seem to have it working–but HD DVDs are dead and the drive has been out of production for a while now…so all the threads I found were pretty old.
