Hard Drive Split

January 27th, 2020

Hi
Went to the boot sale on sunday last week and picked up 3x 2.5 inch sata drives only 1 each
So bought some enclosures for them on the internet and one of the drives is 80gb in size but is split into 2x 40gb
how can i undo this and have it as just a 80gb drive

Answer #1
Use Acronis Disk Director
Resize the drive to 40 GB
Create a new partition with the free space
Or yopu can just delete the 80 GB partition and create 2 40 GB partitions..
Answer #2
– you got the right answer, but in reverse. (It’s OK.. you’re a busy lion.. )
He already has 2 x 40 and wants 1 x 80.
But, yes, Acronis Disk Director – just delete all partitions and make a new one of 80G OR delet partition 2 and expand partition 1 to fill the now unused space.
(The first method is better – it reset it all properly)
Answer #3

Answer #4

I understand how you feel..
I was driving one day, a while ago, looking for a street name on the signs.
I saw it, I SWEAR I saw it, turned left and drove along.. only to find myself in a totally different street.
Concentrating on what I was looking for actually projected, in my mind, the name onto the street sign!
Damn, our brains are WEIRD!!
