Good luck
Answer #2
no man that is not normal, At least not to my knowledge?
Answer #3
Were you running heavy games when you measured the temp? If it’s the idle temp of your GPU then it’s not normal. Does the fan on your GPU work normally? Try putting a fan next to your PC, just open it and put a desk fan next to it to cool it a little. Your GPU isn’t supposed to work at those temperatures. You might want to consider getting better cooling too. Good luck mate ^_^
Answer #4
There is a good chance that it is just a misread. What card is it that is reading this? And what software you using to check this?
Answer #5
Normal temperatures for 6800 card (not overclocked) at load (running 3D games, demos, anything 3D) should be between 65C to 75C plus or minus a few degrees. Temps in the 80s are OK but high, keep an eye on it. and your 172 f is about 77 c so stop worrying
Answer #6
idd its litle high make sure u have a good airflow i u case..but no worry dude..can be higher..
my pc cpu temp its 32c 41c max(even when i run crysis it dont get higher then 45C
my 3d dont get higher then 50 55c..check your fans all off them very easy to test.
1:open case (system off) spin whit your finger the fan and look and hear for sraping sound like sand between.
2:just spin fan whit finger arround and feel if u find ant resistance in fan baring(if it have one)
u can clean u fans open them dust take it out and put smal drups of special oil in it(CHEAP WAY)
they say any standard pc fan cpu ore waht so ever have a life of max 100ours before gets bad.
BY a new one better one .coolermaster zalman..cpu and gpu
