Going crazy about graphic cards

Hello my problem is that i still cant figure out if DDR3 graphic cards can work on my computer if i have DDR2 ram. I asked almost everyone i know and everyone told me something different. The only thing i look for are other opinions or something.. thanks in advance

I have a computer [ now I’m using it for write an answer for your question ]
I have DDR2 Ram [ 2GB ]
and I have DDR3 graphic card [ 256MB GeForce go 8600M GT ]
So “if DDR3 graphic cards can work on my computer if you have DDR2 ram” < TRUE

Video Ram =/= System RAM dont confuse both. My laptop got a video card with GDDR3 memory and the system memory is DDR2, so you’ll be fine

yes it will work cuz it’s like saying does ddr2 ram work with a dual core
your talking about 2 totaly different things.
as long as the graphics card slot fits with the one on your mother board and you have the additional power for the graphics cards your good
and if you have the requirements for the graphics card remember to look that it fits in the case
and has a better description after reading all the posts after lol

as l0ong as the motherboard can handle it and RAM and GPU memory are completely different (in this case )

system ram and video ram do not have to match
so it will work
