General question to those using a pirated OS

These days I am getting a a bit paranoid about security (online banking and all) and since my windows was obtained from some random cd found in the market I am bit scared with the possibility that my OS could have been tampered with . Questions : 1. is there anyway I can guarantee with 100% accuracy that my system is backdoor and rootkit proof ?
2. if not , from where can I obtain a genuine untouched version of xp ? I have searched on .org and there are a number of results, but there doesn’t seem to be any way of finding out if they are really untouched editions.

Download untouched ISO and you are good to go!
also u cud run a rootchecker ,and other malware and virus checkers…

If you download Untouched ISO you don’t have to worry. You have a plenty of Untouched ISOs here on WBB, and don’t be paranoid you don’t work for NASA, FBI etc so that you need to worry about data or something else.. Just chill it’s just OS!
P.s. ( Judging by download of untouched ISO you will see that everything is ok )!
yes untouched OS is indeed a solution. but I would rather keep my current installation.

Of course it’s not enough, there are many ways to make a rootkit/worm/virus undetected by all those detector programs, it’s just a simple trick of changing the signature of the virus or/we and it won’t be detected.
Like wo_0t said, just dl an untouched ISO confirm the md5 AND SHA/SHA256 with keys with the keys posted on the MSDN/Micros0f7 site to be sure.

With XP that’s going to be hard since it’s such an old OS. However, I still have my Windows XP Professional SP2 CD from back in the day. It’s pure, untouched, unadulterated, and undiluted. It’s only 603 MB (lol compared to Vista and Win 7). Even better, I have a volume license key to go with it that requires no activation.
As for Windows 7, I have untouched Ultimate 32-bit and 64-bit RTM DVD ISO images DVD’s direct from MSDN/TechNet.

You can always tell the genuine Win 7 from the bogus with the file hashes. However, with Win 7 you’re going to have to use a Slic 2.1 Modded Bios and activate it with the 7Loader 1.5 by Hazar (no loader, just the activation feature) to keep it activated permanently (Microsoft got slic lol) PM me and I’ll upload it to HF or RS if you really want it.
