GeForce 7600 GS problems

February 9th, 2020

My problem is the NVidia driver I think…
Few days ago, I tryied to enter into a game ( I played it before on the same computer) …the system unexpectedly restarted….from then, the computer is flashing (I mean…. i see the desktop and in the next second i see a blank screen, then I see desktop again, the black screen and so on) , and , sometimes less colors.
I formated my PC several times, and i saw that i get this problem when i instal the NVidia display driver.
I installed several times from my original NVidia CD ( I used it before) , then i tryied to install a driver from nvidia main site….but same problem…
Can someone tell me what is the problem?
Or I need a new Video board?
Thanks for your time, and please help me!

Answer #1
Well, you don’t have to install the ones from the cd, those are probably 3-4 years old.
Download the newest drivers from the nvidia website, delete the drivers you have now and install the ones you downloaded (don’t install the cd drivers)

Install a slightly older driver.

Answer #7
so all is well until you install the nVidia driver
LCD monitor ?
you try changing the refresh rate or resolution ?
you try lowering the video acceleration ?
try re-seating your card to monitor cable, both ends
after tightening rock the plug and re-tighten till it’s firmly seated
try taking the card out clean the contacts with a clean pencil eraser
re-install and try it
