Gears of War PC – Glitch doesn’t let me beat the level

I will get up to the part where the lady who is talking to you says, “Take the alley to the right.” Then Don says “It’s pitch black in there.” After that you have to sprint to the end of the dark alley. I try doing that but there is no where to go at the end of the alley; I just die right when I go the end and stop when the Kryll kill me. I try this multiple times and still, I can’t go anywhere past that. So I went and looked for a video walk through of that part and I find it.

In the video it shows him running to an open door at the end of the hallway. For me there is a door, but it’s closed and I can’t kick it open either.
So I keep trying and I can’t get it to work. Then finally I get there and the door is open, then a second later it closes.
What can I do? I’ve played through it at least 10 times, I tried restarting the chapter, I even restarted from the beginning of this act. Is there a cheat or a hack that will let me get me to the next level? Like by maybe editing the game files?

are there any barrels around? i remember on the 360 version i could not get anywhere in the dark because of the kryll but after shooting a barrel with flames coming out of it, it exploded and causes the surrounding area to be lit, therefore i was able to run between places. possibly try that?

No, it’s not that.
I’ve played through the whole game on the 360, in this part you just have to run as fast as you can to the light, there are no gas containers.
That door is just closed and I can’t get past it…
