Why is it that my game (The Sims 2) seem to play sluggishly? My specs seem to fit all of its requirements yet it runs so slow. Here are my System Specs:
* OS: Windows XP Professional edition
* 512 RAM
* 1.59 Ghz
* Pentium 4
* 40 HD (8.21 GB free space)
* 128 video card nVidia Geforce MX 4000 AGP 8x Palit
Here are the required specs:
* OS: Windows 98/98 SE/Me/2000/XP/Vista
* CPU: 800 MHz
* RAM: 256 MB
* Disc Drive: 8x CD-ROM/DVD drive
* HDD: 3.5 GB free space
* Video: 32 MB DirectX 9.0 and T&L compatible
* Sound: DirectX 9.0 compatible
Anyone know why it runs so slow?

I think you got something wrong: These hardware requirements mean, that you can “play” the game. The only problem is, that the manufacturer has a different understanding of “playing a game”. For the manufacturer it means, that you can start the game, and play, no matter what it’s like. But you, you want it to run fast and smooth. Here’s the misunderstanding.
