Football Manager 2012 Network Help

I downloaded the skidrow fm12 etc and its all working good but when i want to join a network with my friends i enter the server name and it just goes back to that page where i started. tried loads of things and doesnt seem to do anything.
So if anybody good help me out that would be great

Operating System of the PC and how are you going to connect them?

Does everyone have 12.0.4? That might be the cause…. Two friends of mine joined a friend’s network w Vista without any problem. Also have you tried port forwarding for hamachi?

yes i have 12.0.4 wasnt working at all just kept going back to the join network screen but my other 2 friends could join each other with ease might be becuase they have actual copies of the game.
All we do is create a server and we all type in the server name and password then join it ?
