folding sharing from vista to xp

i can’t share my vista folder in xp..i have already turn off both firewall, they ping each other and the sharing permission & security already configured..the problem is vista is asking for username & password but i don’t have password any of my account and when entering only the username it says u must type password..what should i do? i already google it and can’t find correct solution

I had problems with that too. First of all make sure that both the computers are on the same workgroup. Mostly people forget that and that is the main problem.
