Flashget / Rapidshare Help Thanks

March 13th, 2022

Hey all i am a registered member of Rapid-share, i use flash get to download my files, When downloading the downloads just stop downloading, its like im being cut off Rapid-Share, i cant even get back onto the Rapid-Share Website, it occurs after downloading roughly about 500-800 Megabytes, I have the user logged in on the client as well, I’ve tried changing the Download Server also.
Has anybody else experienced the same problem and if so could you please explain how i may go about fixing the issue. I included this picture to show what occurs

Answer #4
have you tried downloading one file at a time?
Yes, that works fine but i mean who wants to download 1 file at a time?
Or maybe i should set only 1 or 2 files to download at a time and see what occurs then.
Will try that thanks
Answer #5
with my s*** net its faster to download one at a time, because it seems to overload the bandwidth if i use more lol, so in the long run it goes faster downloading one at a time for me

+1 I’ve used flashget for 2 years than discovered IDM. Now I’m sure that IDM is the best download manager at the moment.. You should give it a try.
Answer #10
i prefer flashget, not the new one though, i use one of the older versions
Answer #11
im having the same problem aswell, T_T
Answer #12
Well, the problem is a popular one. You see, Rapidshare like covering their own asses and so they created this stupid little system. If you try using more than 100 connections you will be banned from Rapidshare for about 30 minutes. You can either download less files at once or simply lower the amount of split parts that a file is split to. Good luck guys (BTW, using a different download manager will solve nothing so there’s no use in discussing the age old question: “Flashget or IDM?”)

Hey, I’ve read what you said i understood although i was wondering if you would be able to explain to me how to “simply lower the amount of split parts that a file is split to”
Is it done via flashget? or the download manager your using?
Thanks Steve

I am using Flashget, it’s very comfortable and I like it very much. Anyway, when you download a file you split it to several part, so go (in Flashget) to Tools–>Default Download Properties. Set the “Split file” value to a lower setting. Also go to Tools–>Options–>Connection. Set the values there to a lower setting and make sure that the option “Always Retry” isn’t on. That’s about it, it should help you avoid running into the problem mate
Good luck mate ^_^

Maybe you don’t have that option. This is what it looks like for me:

As for your question. It’s possible, with tweaking to set the amount of connections to 95 but you’ll hit the wall that Rapidshare put there (the connection limit) if you try to download two files at once. Best download only one file at once, that’s what I do and get great speeds (for me). Good luck mate ^_^

So by setting the split file to 5 whats it mean that each download will only allow 5 connections? is that correct? or have i misunderstood?
Because on my flashget it says here Maximum part for main site and its also set to 5 like yours is, so im assuming yours is the same thing?

Set it to lower than 5 mate, preferably 1-2
This will help reduce the amount of connections to Rapidshare at the same time. Good luck mate ^_^

It’s where I told you to find it. It’s the amount of parts that the file is split to. You already found it if I’m not mistaken
Simply go to Tools–>Default Download Properties and the the value that says “5” to “1” or something. It should say something along the lines of “Split file 5 part simultaneous”. That’s it. Good luck mate ^_^
Answer #27
tools –> options –> connections
Answer #28
Thanks again guys ill give it all ago and give use some feedback!

Or each time you enter a new download into Flashget, above where it asks for login info, you can simply set the max connections for the file to 1 or whatever number you are wanting
