Somehow it’s like this. At first I thought it was my video drivers, but after I updated them, it’s still the same. Any Ideas?

Answer #1
Give us your specs of your computer.
But the general causes are:
Too high settings for the graphics
outdated directx
Too low spec PC
I can determine more when your specs are available
Answer #2
AMD Athlon X64 4000+ Brisbane 2.1 GHz
1768MB DDR2 667MHz
Nvidia Geforce 6100 nforce 405 (Lulz, intergrated graphics)
Answer #3
and what are your graphics settings?
They must be on the lowest with your PC
Answer #4
Yep all on low. But the landscapes are the same color whatever graphic settings I use.
Answer #5
Is also anti aliasing off? That’s one of the low settings too, not just the texture details.
Answer #6
The lowest I’m allowed to set it at is anti aliasing 1.
Answer #7
Try to set it at zero, does it fix it?
Answer #8
I dont think your computer can cope with it then
Answer #9
Try out:

Select Far Cry and then Can I run it? If you don’t pass minimum test your pc isn’t good enough. In that case I would really consider buying a new pc if you would still like to play games, because Far Cry is pretty old already. I know it was a good and heavy game (for the hardware) in it’s time, but still, it’s pretty old and you will experience problems with almost all games released nowadays.

Btw, I set AA and AF off in my Nvidia Control Panel. Didn’t work.
Answer #11
Well you should be able to run it then.
Are you sure your copy of the game is complete? You could try downloading the game all over again. I once grabbed Fable: Lost Chapters of a LAN-network, and it had no ground either.. Only buildings In your case only vegetation. Deleted it instantly and just grabbed a good one from internet which worked perfectly.
Answer #12
Just reinstalled it with the same download, with no luck.
They were NRG files, so I’m pretty sure the game is complete.
I’ll installing DirectX 9.0b tomorrow because that’s what the game recommends. I’m using Vista atm, so that uses DirectX 10.
Answer #13
Hmm, I had this once, but restarting the game fixed it. All I can suggest is reinstalling the game. If you have vista, you can’t install direct X 9.0c I think.
Answer #14
Crysis was like that for me, then i got a 8800 GT (had a 7900 GS) and the problem went away. Your card might still be too weak to run it

If he passed the recommended test on canirunit it isn’t is hardware. Never experienced that someone could run the game according to canirunit but couldn’t really because of the hardware.
Answer #16
I have the same problem. i have Nvidia 8800GTS, E6850, 2GB memory and free space in my hard disk. I passed the test from the site (can you run it) but i had 2 (!) signs. The one is Video Card Driver Version (DirectX)
Your driver version number is: 6.14.11.7824
FYI: Your video card driver version is provided for your information, but it is not part of this analysis. But proper video card driver versions are important to the proper operation of your product.
I instaled the directX and latest drivers but the sign remained.
and the 2nd. Sound Card Driver Version
Your driver version number is: 0.4
FYI: Your sound card driver version is provided for your information, but it is not part of this analysis. But proper sound card driver versions are important to the proper operation of your product.
Here i don’t know can to do.
Can anybody help to resolve theese 2?
Answer #17
with both an 8800 gts and my old 7800 gtx i had that problem, then i got it fixed some how and it refused to let me walk up stairs properly
Answer #18
i had that problem as well but found out i had two drivers inflicting each other. uninstall all video drivers completely and install the latest one again. if that dont work, get the latest game patch at:
