Failing to activate Office 2010

Hi Fellow Hunters,
Keep getting Error Code: 0xC004F074
for MS Office Pro Plus 2010 I have tried KMSpico.9.0.6.20131120 and Microsoft Toolkit 2.5.B4 – EZ-Activator

ERROR TEXT: The Software Licensing Service reported that the product could not be activated. No Key Management Service (KMS) could be contacted. Please see the Application Event Log for additional information.

both fail to activate office, but my Windows 7 is fortunately permanently activated but unfortunately I don’t have a code for office.
Any help please only 25 days left on office out of the box temp activation.

Turn off any antivirus/firewalls and use Microsoft toolkit

in the activator itself…you will find a option for installing KMS. First do it and then try activating

Also, your internet is on while you are trying to activate office, right.

Well, in the message you get, it says “Please see the Application Event Log for additional information.”
Can you find that log file and read what does it say.
I think that it should be here:
C:\Users\your user name\AppData\Local\Temp

What antivirus are you running it might be blocking the network connection needed. Go into your AV and disable that part of it then retry it.

Turns out I needed to change my office to a non-retail copy and now it works – thanks everyone for trying to help.
