Erasing beats form song, left with vocals?

August 4th, 2016

I was wondering how do you do this, I wanted to do this with DMX – Where da hood at so I could mix it in with some trance/house
Basically, how do I strip a song of the beat so I am left with the vocals.

Answer #1
Impossible.
You can’t remove the eggs from a cake after you’ve baked it either. Same concept.
Answer #2
Most applications only do the opposite, and remove the voice to create a ‘karaoke-effect’, interesting how you want to do the opposite (I’ve never seen that function)
Answer #3
Well I figured since you could rip the vocals from an MP3 You could rip the music so your left with the vocals.
Answer #4

Indeed, it’s the same technology, only I have never seen it this way
Answer #5
Well is there anyway to hide the music and amplify the vocals? like in VirtualDJ or Audacity.
Answer #6
If you could find an instrumental version of the song, open it an audio program, invert it and line it up with the original, this will give you a partial accapella (imagine removing vocals, it sounds crappy).
