DVI or VGA ?

I bought a new dell Led 22″ monitor which has VGA nd DVI ports and cables too are included.. But my system as only vga input..
So I was wondering that will it differ in output if i use DVI cable with VGA converter at one end. Or simply use VGA Cable ??

always better to use the default connection IMO

VGA is for analog
and
DVI/hdmi is high definition
if your video card only vga then use vga
if you video card have both just use DVI/hdmi
