DVD-RW not getting detected

August 5th, 2016

Hey guyz,
I bought this new DVD-RW and burned it once.
Then when I was erasing it.. The computer froze up for some reason (maybe I was multitasking too much) and thus the PC restarted.
Now.. The DVD-RW is not getting detected.. so any ideas on how to revive it?
Thanks.

Well, if the DVD-RW was damaged during the middle of the operations then there no way to revive it. If your computer can’t even read the disk any more then its done :/
Answer #2
Oh boy.. There goes by 70 bucks
Answer #3

ghostboy78 means the disk is damaged, not the DVD writer itself.

Answer #11
Yeah, the disc is probably no good but the drive should be just fine.
Answer #12
Do you use Daemon tools pro or Alcohol 120% by any chance?
Make sure the “Hide CD-R” setting is turned OFF. Or no disks will burn.
Otherwise, disk is probably buggered.
How is that a waste of $70?
What disks cost $70?!
Answer #13
He was referring to the drive, not the disc.
Answer #14
Sure you ain’t using a RAM disk or a Rom disk ?as many drives won’t support them fully.
